Level 2 Diploma in Fitness Instructing – Course Overview

Our Level 2 Diploma in Fitness Instructing is delivered over four days per weekMonday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday—from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This structured schedule ensures comprehensive coverage of all required content while maintaining consistency in learning.

We understand that participants may have childcare or other personal commitments. To support this, we offer a 30-minute grace period for late arrivals or early departures. However, to comply with the funded course requirements for guided learning hours, any time missed must be made up during the lunch break on the same day.

In exceptional circumstances, where a learner is unable to complete the course due to unforeseen emergencies, we offer the flexibility to rejoin and complete any outstanding work in the next course cycle, which runs every six weeks.

The qualification includes both theoretical and practical components. Learners will sit one multiple-choice theory exam comprising 30 questions, with a minimum pass mark of 23. Should you not pass on the first attempt, you will have multiple opportunities to retake the exam, with full support provided.

You will also complete nine practical assessments, where you will be required to demonstrate your ability to deliver safe, effective, and professional fitness sessions under observation by a qualified assessor.

Unlike standard certificates, this qualification awards you with a diploma, covering a broader range of units to provide a more in-depth and well-rounded education. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality Level 2 training, equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to launch a successful and rewarding career in the fitness industry.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for enrolling in one of our funded Level 2 Fitness Instructor Courses or Level 3 Personal Training Courses include several important requirements. Firstly, candidates must be aged 19 or over and currently receiving benefits. It is also essential that applicants are not enrolled in any other funded course, as our funding policy permits support for only one course at a time.

Additionally, candidates must not be employed for more than 16 hours per week, ensuring they have the time and capacity to fully commit to the program. These criteria are designed to ensure that learners can maximize the benefits of this opportunity and achieve meaningful personal and professional development.
